You can only cut cost so much. You can only overwork people so much. You can only outsource to contractors so much until it will start to impact quality and output. The company has no manpower reserves whatsoever, any big event will undo it. But management will get their bonuses I guess? This is what matters

Generally during end of school we see lot of people leaving GF but this year many people left before school year as many company offering remote till summer.
I think it will increase only going forward after AIP payment, coronavirus reduces, summer and school year complete
just wait when people see how bad their merit raises are this year. And AIP and raises pay out in spring. Plenty of time for people to interview and plan their summer moves with their kiddos out of school. Get your 🍿 ready
Actually, we blew the fab-out target out of the water being "short staffed " in the middle of a pandemic. Many sucessful companies run lean. We are getting decent bonuses, wage adjustments and even being thrown a little stock. Things are Not dire. Too many negative Nellys sitting around complaining. If it's that bad, you should look for another job. There are plenty out there.
@tjv+1f6hmSMg for sure, some people pretend and definitely play the game to get ahead. Nothing wrong with it either.
I noticed many of the people that seem to drink the koolaid quit also without ever telling anyone they are unhappy or thinking of leaving
I agree to an extent, but here are my overall thoughts
- things aren't that dire, a sizable number of people are complacent and not going anywhere
- judging by gfcurrent posts, a sizable number of people drink the orange colored koolaid
- attrition will definitely continue affecting GF, but things won't come crashing down. It will be a slow road to stagnancy and irrelevance
