I noticed that several comments have been removed!! Don’t recall seeing anything going agaibst their posting policy. Not surprised though…..
Take off your tinfoil hat. This site is moderated. Posts that go against the site rules get deleted. It's as simple as that. Basically, don't post off-topic stuff, don't talk politics, racism is a big no, don't name names, don't troll and you'll be okay. Rules are somewhere in the footer. Check them out.
TIAA does this sort of thing. They put pressure on the site operators to get posts on Indeed and GlassDoor yanked as well. They have LOTS of lawyers to find any word, phrase, or information that gives them leverage to get it removed If they put half as much money and effort into actually being ethical as they put into being portrayed as ethical, then they wouldn't have all the legal and reputational problems that they have. TIAA has a revolving door culture now and even the executive suite is full of newbies without the experience or backbone to risk their career on any real change. They are just there to grab the fat salary, bonus, and retirement benefits for as long as they can. The stress they put on their employee's families, relationships and mental well-being is of ZERO concern. If work stress and constant fear of micro-management or job loss cause your life to unravel, they don't care. If it ruins your relationships, they don't care. Better your life falls apart than theirs. They all have multi-million dollar vacation homes to furnish, social circles to impress and European trips to take. They don't serve anyone but themselves. There is no big effort from management to truly change or improve anything. They are only there for the money.
Yup, TIAA's Exec Committee must be in somebody's pockets or related to one of the Mods. Take a look at other major companies on this site and no matter what they discuss the posts stay up.
Let's be real shall we, The Layoff has never been solely restricted to discussing just that. People stray to ANY and ALL types of topics. But I guess if it doesn't fit the agenda it promptly gets the axe.
Be sure to hurry up and get a good gander, cuz they'll probably take this one down too.
