Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Those of you that are in Texas...

There is an executive order protecting your naturally given rights. A corporation cannot force you to be vaccinated in Texas. Thank goodness for sane leadership on this issue.

Texas Workforce Commission. Contact them now. Tell them what TMobile is doing -- forcing you to get the vaccine and disallowing (or making difficult) exemptions.

Enough people call, TWC will levy fines. The fines are per employee. Perhaps TMobile is willing to pay the fines though, I will say that. But still, call TWC.

Here's the TWC order, based on the governor's Executive Order.

There are 9 states that you can't be fired in, if you decide not to get the vaccine. To the person who said no law will stand that prevents companies from doing this... yes, they will which is why Tmobile has links to what you must fill out, if you live in these states, because they are making an exception for them... in other words....you don't know what you are talking about

Ah yes, the age old argument to do something…because everyone else has.

Boy, such a shame, I wonder how someone in such a position would be able to stay. Oh wait. I know exactly how! Since almost 200 million Americans have already done it! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm the original poster. I have never posted here before, and I love working for T-Mobile. I'll admit its been worse since we got the new CEO, stupid optimization cr-p going on to make work less fun and more grindy. Report this, log that, track this other thing. Stupid cr-p to try and squeeze employees for a little more juice. I'm in database, its been my career, and I've been with TMO for a long time. I moved to Texas to work in a higher level role, which I was very happy to hold at this company.

I've given a lot to this company. A decade of my life. And this is how they are treating us.

So no, I have never wanted to leave, and really wish I had the ability to stay. I emailed the TWC this morning. I hope others do the same.

Boy, for people who are constantly about the company and wanting to leave, you all sure are adamant about looking for loopholes to stay on.

Nobody can force you to be vaccinated. They can make it a condition of employment though. There's a difference.
No law preventing a company from doing this will stand. This legal precedent is over 200yrs old. (and challenged around 100 years ago where it also stood)

The state of Kansas has a similar law. Anyone using that?

Glad Texas is willing to champion an individual's right to make their own medical decisions but too bad Texas is not as passionate about a women's right to choose.

Link pasted wrong. Fixed below. It's a PDF, you can Google "Texas workforce commission vaccine" and it'll pop up as top two results.
