All my efforts here have finally paid off because I got the job I had wanted for a long time. The offer is great. Now I wonder who my replacement will be after I leave......
Given that my colleague, who was a role model employee for most of us, was eventually replaced by a person who doesn’t know what he’s doing, backfilling positions is obviously a big challenge for IBM. And it will probably become even worse.

IBM need to layoffs another 50K to start showing progress…
@2ydk+1f4FNoAq >>> IBM won't care.... The people who will suffer will be your immediate colleagues.
Good. May be it will prompt the colleagues to quit too. May be then IBM will start caring.
Repeat after me …. It’s not your problem.
Now, have some nice time off and relax and then focus on your next job.
Congrats.
Counterpoint: if you leave without doing any knowledge transfer, IBM won't care. It will just carry on its gentle slide into senescence. The people who will suffer will be your immediate colleagues.
So if you care about those people and not making their daily working lives any worse, take the time to do knowledge transfer. You're helping them, not IBM.
Make sure you take all your vacation as your last two weeks of work so there is no knowledge transfer.
Yep srsly, ibm can go fu-k themselves.
If they can't pay their engineers properly and don't have any plans for their products then why would anyone want to work there?
On top of this, they do terrible things like RAs, no hikes/bonuses, treat people like sh-t - being arrogant etc.
Who cares! Enjoy the next leg of your career and don’t look back at IBM. IBM is a shithole.
