Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Future of Claims at State Farm

I have two interviews scheduled for next week. I hope to get lucky this time and leave this company forever. I know that all companies squeeze people, more or less, but I still want to try somewhere else. Doing more with less is unsustainable. I just wonder what the future holds for claims. Any thoughts?

Theyve been fine with extremely high turnover since the CEO change and reorganization. If they had wanted to fix it, they would have made an attempt by now.

Claims eventually will be handled by a third party company. With only a small number of claims people to handle the serious damage , complicated , and high dollar claims. Same for estimators.
The company is forcing people to leave to make it easier to switch to a third party system.

Leadership trying to force square peg into round ho-e. They don't care how many employees they leave in their wake. Sorry but it's the truth.

Good luck. The only way executive will admit defeat is if people keep leaving.

Claims is a very reactive organization at SF. They want to push tech innovation, but don’t respond well or at all to feedback. Express lost almost 60% of their staff, yet nothing is said about how they are going to fix things and make the job more attractive. Leaderships only solutions are overtime, and bringing in temp works etc. Where are you interviewing at ?
