Yes, trust the CEO. You really have no other choice, right? If the CEO does well and hits the goals set by the board, then everyone is happy.

On the other hand, though, if the CEO sucks and does a horrible job, that creates a situation of budget downsizing, layoffs, and impacts growth potential for not only execs, managers, but workers, too.

You are more likely to have a better time at your work place if the CEO is successful.
