Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Tenured employees losing out

The fact that this company is starting higher wages for new employees and not compensating existing employees better shows just how much Allstate is garbage.

@1lho+1eyjVPKo The 2022 pay bands have a very good increase for mid point and top end. I can tell you as a recruiter that this post is accurate, you need to leave a company after 3-5 years to ensure you are getting decent wage increase.

I know employees that have been with Allstate 5 years that are mid point, they will be getting less than a new hire doing the same job that is hired this year, assuming the new hire is experienced like the current employee.

I applied to Allstate last month and was offered $65,000 for an attorney repped BI position. I decided not to take it because the recruiters I dealt with were incredibly unprofessional. I’m glad I didn’t after I found this site.

That is why it doesn't pay to stick with an employer longer than a few years. You're leaving lots of money on the table...

From where are you getting this info? And don't tell us you talked to one new hire.

How much is the new starting wage? Last I checked it was $17. Did it increase again?
