Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

EM d-mbs you down

You can graduate from top universities and get hired by EM and end up become stupid and talentless as result of continuos of brainwashing and stupid policy in the company. During my time at EM, sometimes I could not believe some words that came out from the experienced people in the company, that have been working only with EM.

This is perfectly put! This company is so entrenched in the old way of thinking that they don't care that so many of those processes, ideas, and systems simply don't work anymore. The sad thing is, if you want to move your career forward, you have to nod your head and accept that. It's ridiculous but true.

@ode why you picking on the poor injuns (dot not feather)?

We got plenty of hot interns to Bang here without outsourcing those tasks to Bangfloor

Hire the talented people that think for themselves, pay them well, and get out of the way. Show respect and appreciation.

We do still hire these people. However, the ones who last are those who have learned to mimic the successful: keep their heads down and make friends with useful people. It’s the smart, self-preserving thing to do. What else would you expect the smart ones to do?

Hire the talented people that think for themselves, pay them well, and get out of the way. Show respect and appreciation.

Instead, we hire and promote dumd**ses and toxic individuals focused on their own self interest.

Used to tell management that smarter people using weaker processes was better than d-mber people using stronger processes. Explained to them that there was no substitute for experience and competency, and that processes do not provide critical thinking. Not once did any of them agree with me.

Grammar here suggest many posts are coming from Bangalore hacks. Is that what we’re doing now, also outsourcing our layoffs posts to BTC?!?!

Absolutely correct. ExxonMobil is efficient in only one thing:
converting humans into zombies with 99.9%9% success rate
