Thread regarding Pembina Pipeline Corp layoffs

CEO Change

MD now hitchhiking in the rearview mirror what does everyone think will happen in 2022 officer-wise

I think another internal ceo hire is in the cards but not Scott. Minor shakeup at the officer & VP level. SB resigns follows MD or moves in a different direction professionally. Should be an interesting year for sure. Hopefully they get it right

Bo-m, there it is. SB is the new President and CEO. Great write up on the Company website about he has been part of Pembina for a while and will carry their vision forward. What does that mean? It means no changes to the disgusting and out-dated oppressive culture in this dump.

3 phases of a company's growth:

  1. Built by Technical People,
  2. Run into the ground by Accountants,
  3. Shutdown by Lawyers

Tell me where Pembina is now? 2.5?

I'm not understanding why people don't think Burrows will be the perminant CEO. He was all but annointed years back as the heir of Mick.

If I held a significant amount of PPL stock, I would be very nervous holding for long. Stubborn companies that refuse to adapt are not long for this world. Unfortunately, at the top, this lesson will be learned too late and at dire cost.

No knowledge of the situation. Just an opinion. It's an internal hire that doesn't spook the market and keeps the old boys club and the company culture intact. I don't think the board has any stones to rock the boat. Hopefully good news for our stock but business as usual with another bean counter in charge.

MD and SB are not operators, when money is cheap and deals drive value their BD shilling pays off, but Pembina wants to scale up but doesn’t understand what it takes to be big - processes and absorbed EBITDA from disparate businesses . It needs a no-nonsense operator classic PENg leader that will have projects lined up with cash flow and Cap ex spent on high value projects. You don’t need all the project groups and BD folks because you need to eke out performance not battle for sh---y take-or-pay contracts. Top talent engineers don’t go into O&G anymore so make things more utility based- not se-y but surviveable.
