Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Five years from now

The other day a colleague asked me where I see Xerox in five years. What would you answer?
I really don't know, I'm not optimistic even about the multiyear cloud deal with Oracle. What's important to me is that I don't see myself here for more than five months from now. After that, I hope I don’t even remember this company.

If not KM, I don't think Ricoh will make it either. My bet is on Fuji Business Innovations.

Can’t think 5 years out…Xerox is a company in a day to day survival.

Konica Minolta is a company full of autocrats. Putting my money on Ricoh. Stand or fall. Xerox is a waste of time and resources.

Here's what will happen. KM and Ricoh will come out in a couple of years with their next generation of production presses. By then, Xerox customers have already started leaving due to lack of parts, service, etc. A quarter after they launch, Fujifilm Business Innovation will buy Xerox out, lock stock and barrel.

I thought 5,10,15 years ago Xerox wouldn't be around.

It will be, but with work at home seemingly here for good for many companies, lost revenue in print will decline more sharply than pre pandemic.

I'm not convinced their new strategy outside of print will bring in the lost revenue.

As a name only company, that has been sold off in pieces and only now remains as a name. Much like Compaq or DEC
