Why are new people taking so long to learn registers? What is so complicated about them? I'm not talking weeks, but months (if they decided to stay that long.) That is not quantum physics, it's the freakin' register! I guess the hiring pool is getting really shallow if this is all we can get.

It is probably because walmart training sucks. They expect so much but can't manage to train you.
Because they are going cashierless so why bother training cashiers. Will all be self checkout or checkout on your phone app, no need for cashiers,
This is our future. D-mb and d-mber. Stupid and stupider. This is exactly why Walmart is automating and using more and more robotics. Since Walmart hires from the bottom of the socioeconomic pool, this is what you get.
No big deal. There’s plenty of jobs available in the fast food service industry for former Walmart associates that can’t seem to “figure it out”.
It seems the younger they are the d-mber they are. They don't really want to work they just want to be paid to stand around or at least at my store it seems.
You get what you pay for.
