Now, of course, I regret not leaving before the holiday season. The worst thing I could've done to myself was to stay and wait a little longer. I literally already feel squeezed. I've been here for five years and if I compare the holiday seasons during all those years, it seems to me that this is the hardest and most depressing at the same time?

It's so true. Walmart used to be a good place to work. Not anymore. I left a couple of years back and haven't missed it a bit. I still check this board to remind me of how awful life used to be working at this hellhole.
Yes. This. I left in May best decision ever. No weekends no holidays M-F. A LOT more money. Appreciated by new employer. What a difference!
I promise you there is life out there after walmart. I had 17 years with the company as a vision mgr. I loved my job but it was very stressful and Covid completely changed my mindset. I left in October and haven't looked back. I found a place where i am appreciated, do my job and go home. Pay is also up there with what i made at walmart. Benefits are better and much better work/life balance. All this to say, there are better opportunities out there. Dont be afraid to jump ;-)
