Developing skillset in order to get out of here

I would love nothing more than to get out of here, but I can’t afford it because I would run out of money fast since I don’t have any savings. On the other hand, I don’t even want to change the company if I can’t get a significantly better job. That is my problem.

How to build a skillset in as short a time as possible and get out of here? Does anyone have some tips or ideas for how to quickly develop one's skillset in order to get a better job? I work here now as a cashier.

Get into a trades program at your local community college. Usually can enter these programs at minimal cost and you will learn valuable, in-demand skills that can get you a job anywhere in the country. University education for the most part is a giant ponzee scheme set up to enslave people forever to student debt and finance lavish lifestyles for tenured, fat cat faculty, administrators, and politicians when they leave office.

Forget about an academic degree and go for a shorter technical degree - something that would qualify you for a high demand job that you would enjoy. Check your local Junior college for available programs. You can always get a 4-year degree later - right now the goal is to get you into a better paying job.

Go to college on line. With pell grants and student loans you should be able to survive. Choose the right college and you should be able to get $2000-$3000 per term. Get a little part time job to help cover you when your not in school
