This past year I’ve seen my stores hours get cut so much that we lost thousands and thousands in sales simply because there was no one on the floor to sell. I’ve seen the higher ups fumble BTC so badly it was embarrassing. They micromanaged us so intensely that even 20 year employees and managers were unsure of what to do from one day to the next. They have repackaged and relaunched the same cr-p like 3 times and even forgot to change the upcs from the old to the new…we got wild sage bath towels that had salt upcs on them…their constant room pivots and aisle changes not only made no merchandising sense but most of the time they neglected to send the product for the changes. And the lack of employees to execute these changes has left some rooms a perpetual disaster to a point that they need to be stripped down to the bones and fixed from scratch. And this holiday season…the dkk on or die time in retail…they cut hours to virtually nothing..expected Omni to run like a top and stores yo make sales…but our key merchandise that gives us the foot traffic every year and helps us get those sales wasn’t even there! We didn’t even get Christmas table linens. I don’t understand what they are doing. I do not get what the strategy is here and I certainly fail ti see how any of this is better. Oh and let’s not forget that they don’t seem to think that it’s important to have a put away team in the mornings. We started just rolling cages and boats tj the floor and try to put it away throughout the day and tell receiving he sorry guys…this is the best we got. Customers just shopped off the conveyances. What is the end game here for real? They must know this is going on everywhere. What are they trying to achieve with this?

they reacted to the wrong things when they set out to 'de clutter' the stores, and eliminated a lot of the stuff people actually wanted. people came in the store for the as seen on tv merch, for the licensed sports merch, and then would shop for their household items. now that we got rid of a large portion of that stuff, what's the point of shopping at our store? you can get some basic bed sheets and a spatula when you're shopping for groceries, clothes, etc at target, walmart, any of the bigger stores.
oh, and our store didn't get any christmas table linens either, i'm sure we'll all get them in about a month, lol
You’ve got to wonder. At one point they told us to stop top stocking and clear top stock. No direction on what to do with the product we had up there and oh by the way here’s 30 simple human trash cans and 50 toaster ovens.
There is just a complete lack of understanding of how the stores (need to) operate.
Post was right on the money, product just being rolled on to the floor and then those same UBoats/Cages being rolled into another stockroom to be forgotten about for a week or longer. The company is stuck in late 2019 where everything was figured out even with some drastic change. But now when you make it so employees barely have any incentive to work here with the micromanaging from up top and the lack of competitive wages, things will obviously become a sh-t show and it's evident from a store to store basis outside of the odd few. Felt like they wanted to make the store aesthetically more pleasing instead of being practical and maximizing the minimal selection you have due to the supply chain issues.
Truth. This is my store to a t
This is the most accurate post I have every seen on here.
The new BBBY management team are a bunch of Clowns.
BBBY should not have canceled My Pillow. They are failing like the New York Times. Ha
The OP sums up reality quite well. Everything they said was true and accurate. There is no reason at all for our customers to shop at BBBY ever again. There is no customer service or selection anymore.
Sounds just like my store!
