Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Allstate needs a year end bonus

With corporate greed running rampant here at Allstate, the least they can do to reward us employees who’ve survived the layoffs, transformative growth and long , long hours of a stressful work environment is an end of the year bonus! This company needs to start realizing that if their internal employees are happy then that projects onto the customers. There’s no incentive to remain here with how employees are poorly treated here.

Our bonuses will be those that survive another year here with all the stress, long hours and lack of leadership

Calling for a year end bonus, just another reason we are looking to move as many jobs overseas. Greedy American workers!

I forgot to add to my last comment, that while I hated what this company became, I was able to negotiate for a higher starting wage at the competitor due to my experience.

Thanks for the resume placeholder Allstate ;)

Come to progressive. You get gainshare regardless of tenure and position! :)

I hated it here. The only good outcome was meeting some friends I still speak to. Other than that, I wasted 5 years here.

@1vmg+1et2keoL, is spot on. CEO Wilson & PPL president Shapiro are both Chicago Scumbag socialists dem supporters.

The vast majority of people didn't "survive the layoffs" because they were good employees that this company wanted to keep. The "assessments" were a legal ploy to avoid discrimination lawsuits so that is not any real validation. Allstate kept their overpaid corporate suits and then kept their low paying, low tenure grunts that they don't have tenure and as much PTO and retirement invested into. They kept those employees that they have little invested in and that are easily expendable. Basically those who they can dump on the move to India next year. Believe me when I say that as someone who knew how the layoffs were done that you were not kept for your skill and worth and the vast majority that "survived the layoffs" are not at all worthy of any bonus. The dregs were kept because of less worth and investment in the long run.

I agree with that. Other insurance companies have yearly profit sharing bonuses

If Allstate just paid better, that'd be a start.

But what do you expect from a company planning to shift most of it's labor force to India?

You're competing with a labor force over there that will work twice as long for pennies on the dollar compared to US workers...

Like so many have suggested, it's primer time to gtfo of Allstate asap.
