How much have things change in the last 20 years?

Was not as intimidating as I thought it would be. If you take early retirement- that is not frowned upon. People understand that morale is low and change is needed at EM. They do still desire the strong work ethic at other companies. Base salary a bit less but bonuses, awards, and enjoyable office environment fill any perceived gap.
The key difference is - you won't believe anything they tell you.
I did some of FANG interviews. I searched for Amazon interview questions and Facebook interview questions. After practicing about 40 of those questions several times over, the interviews weren’t difficult.
I completely screwed up my first interview after 20 years. Suggest lots of practice...
I just secured a new job this week. If you are still at ExxonMobil, try to get ahold of their current recruiting/interviewing material. I did A LOT of recruiting over my 22 year career at Exxon, and I have to admit conducting interviews in line with that material helped a lot with actually being interviewed.
I can boil it down to one simple concept to get you started. STAR. You can use this to answer nearly every question they ask. It stands for Situation/Task, Action, Result. So you will need to have a good databank of examples from your career that will fit the question. You start by describing the situation or the task, then talk about what you did to solve the issue, and then tell them how things turned out. It is a pretty easy concept. Good luck!!!
Good luck! Some companies might you are not flexibles and "brainwashed" since you have been working only with a single employer. You must also prepare the reason why you would like to leave EM after 20 years, especially if you have done several assignments.
