Blind leading the blind

That's the impression I get regarding XOM and its leadership. The company has turned from an industry giant into a laughing stock under their watch and I don't even think they care. For as long as their wallets are getting fatter, they're convinced they're doing a good job. They allowed this to happen because they're not affected by it. The rest of us don't matter.

Very nice definition of true leaders. Which makes it obvious that we have NO leaders in EM. The few who dare to try are flattened and sp-t out by the system.

Leaders are those who inspire and forge ahead in uncertain times. They take on the challenge and see the possibilities of a better tomorrow. They Protect those under them in hard times and share in the rewards during the good.

Many of us here are just ordinary people during their best trying to be that leader.

I had a good friend who was a rising star leave recently. When asked her why she; summed it up perfectly, “these leaders don’t inspire me, they actually disgust me”

That sums it up pretty well.

There are spies and more spies, everywhere there are spies (your fellow employees and third parties to which you interact. Never interacted with anyone that was not a spy operative. The spies purposefully setup entrapments laid for se-ual/racial harrassment, white collar crime, ensuring you always parrot the company line, intellectual property, fake dossiers, fake projects, read emails/texts, watch and listen to you on your laptop both during work and when at home, false information, false flags, rumors, family members, neighbors, PIs and on and on. If you can dream it up they can to and they will do it. Involved all levels of management, my peer employees, third parties, security, medical (vivotrol anyone) and HR.

When you do not drink the kool-aid, when you do not become a sunflower, when you do not kiss their a-s, when you do not agree with everything the Executive says, when you question or make suggestions to their methods/economics/plans/budgets, they will go after you with whatever it takes.

But hey, it is the game you gotta play to get a membership card to get a seat. Remember, "players/spies only love you when their playing".

The Executives are the best and brightest of us all, just ask them, not to mention condescending, unethical, greedy and corrupt. This is a keep your mouth shut and do as your told company, period. Has been for decades and will be so for decades more,, nothing has changed. If you can not follow that simple directive they want you gone and they do whatever it takes to get you gone. Latest and most popular model of get you gone is The PIP, but do not ever believe that is their only tool.

Now, hey you, mister, can't you read the sign? You've got to have knee pads and mouth gag to get a seat at our table. You ain't supposed to be here. The sign said you got to have a sunflower card to get inside. Ugh!

So I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign
I said, "Thank you, Lord, for thinkin' 'bout me. I'm alive and doin' fine".
Wooo!

As an experienced hire, I definitely felt like I was pressured to do things that was not right. Never felt this way with my former company. Former supervisor tried everything from gaslighting to vague threats to damage my career unless I go along with all his stupid ideas. I did not cave in to these tactics and I suffered for it in my last ranking. At least I can sleep at night knowing that I did the right thing and told the truth. Unfortunately, he is still around destroying the business. Leadership up the chain totally clueless to what’s going on because he only serve up only what they want to hear.

Working for ExxonMobil will make anyone mentally and morally corrupt without acknowledging that it is happening.

Many with good morals and ethics joined the company and most of them became a zombie evil human (without realizing who they have become).
