This board has become very predictable. Most posts contain one or more of the following...1. stores are closing. 2. I hate my manager 3. My manager is lazy 4. My coworkers are lazy 5. MT knows nothing. 6. I am getting less hours 7. We need more help. 8. BBBY is the worst. 9. There are corporate goons on the board! 10. BBBY only cares about the money Etc etc etc. Look back at the older posts and you will see the same topics over and over and over again. Here is what I do not understand WHY DON'T YOU GET Another JOB? You obviously hate your job but do not seem to want to leave. Yes...many things are wrong..but they are at other retailers as well. That is a moot point..if you are that unhappy why not leave? Many many jobs out there..you can work full time..part time..remote..what is your reason?

I’m sure corporate people look at this board. Do they post at the direction of the company? Maybe, who knows. But I bet if they like the company and support it they post in defense, just like any other employee that wants to can. I know they monitor or react to negative feedback in employees personal Facebook posts because a co worker was told to remove her negative post and written up since her Facebook was public and she stated she worked here. The SM received an email from corporate.
I can only speak for myself but I do agree a lot of the complaining posts are childish. Perhaps that leads some people to think they are written by very young people. I ask..how do you know people posting are long term employees? What do you consider long term? Many of the complaining posts mention situations that happen in every workplace. Customers are often rude everywhere. Managers give conflicting directions everywhere. People are short staffed and overworked many places..get the idea? The posts are not constructive..yes they are whiny. It is somewhat easy to tell when there is maturity in a post. Me..I am 35..have been with BBBY 9 years. Before that worked for a nother big box in another city..
so how old are you and how many times have you jumped ship when things got tough at your 100 other jobs?
seriously, come up with something more original then "oh the whiners must be 12 on their first job"; why would a teenager on their first job know about this site, or care about what happens to the company? we're long time employees who need a place to vent, and hope to get information nobody else will give to us every now and then
The website is called Layoff..not for whining and complaining about about every little thing that happens everywhere. I would guess a lit of posters on here have never worked anywhere else and/or are very young. The lack of knowledge of the business world/the stock market/ Board of Directors is so evident

Board members often do not work for the company, their job is to protect share holders. Not surprising that they would not know operational details.

This is information for layoffs, store closures, etc. Yes there are whiners who should go elsewhere…but this site is here for public knowledge so that some can get information as to what is happening in the company since management doesn’t like to tell us. 🙄😑
SMH..no one from corporate is on here..the corporate person you may have rang up was probably asking those questions to see if YOU knew the answers

I rang out a board member once. He had a “card” and we were able to confirm who he was.
He was clueless as to store ops based on the questions he asked. He was most concerned about his 20% discount.
corporate pays attention to the internet, i know they see dumpster diving videos on youtube; if they have time to search through that, they have time to check in on this board, working from home leaves them all kinds of free time i'm sure, lol

The most predictable, yet the most amusing are the corporate shill posts. They usually contain one of these two topics: “stop whining and get another job” and “stop reading this page”. Just imagine them having to report this to their supervisors “ I made a great thread today, but I don’t know why it got downvoted to oblivion”.

agreed, this board has become predictable….everytime someone comes here with a valid complaint, people like you whine and cry ‘why don’t you get a new job?!’
maybe some of us have a thing called loyalty, we’re not willing to just jump ship every time things get hard. i’d prefer the company actually fix itself, because i know no matter where i go it’ll be some kind of bs, and at least here i have a decade and a half of experience to take some pressure off me
