So the retail group was given notice this week and were "asked to stick around" until the transaction closed to facilitate operations.
They have to reapply for their jobs with the buyer(s)....

That’s not how it usually works. The buyer usually takes who they want and the rest are laid off. Never seen it where people have to reapply for their jobs.
