Chevron sent an email out yesterday that Houston is on track to return to the office the week of January 3. In what world are things looking up? Cases are doubling every 2 days, but yeah, totally makes sense to go back now….and let’s make everyone worry instead of “resting and recharging”. Leadership has made it clear that they do not respect their employees as human beings, and checking a box on someone’s PMP is valued more than the health and safety of thousands.

The Colorado governor is running for re-election on 2022 and will say or do anything to get re-elected. Don't think I will trust that source.
Those that have taken the vaccine will be protected from the vaccine.
Those who are unvaxxed will die like they have been saying they will die for the last two years.
Let’s take the Colorado governors stance - I have a suspicion we will all be fine. (Well except for those with poor health but then again they had two years to loose weight and exercise to not be grossly overweight)
Why are you jabbers scared of Omicron. Your protected by that vaccine you have. Go get your booster and you will be double protected.
The CDC admits that 80% of those being treated are vaccinated. What is the point?
@1fff, That’s correct. It’s the boomers at Chevron that are calling the real shots and keeping you half-useless millennials with a job. If you’re still one with the millennial mentality, then come next layoffs, you’ll be on your way out to a job.
But guys, we can’t postpone the date until we come up with the perfect wording for the RTW recycle epic and then fill out our storyboard and create the backlog! Gotta be agile lol
California is going back to lockdown and indoor masks for vaccinated, so San Ramone will probably be WFH for a nother few months. Texas apparently doesn't need locking down, so Houston will be in the office.
All this talk of going digital and lower carbon….full remote would validate they actually mean it
guess boomer mentality still runs deep in chevron exec team
Every day that Chevron does not postpone RTW, I lose more and more respect our leadership. No longer planning to stay long term
It’s just like the flu. Where have I heard that before?
Its almost over...Omicron is helping make covid endemic.
symptoms of "Omni" are like mild cold for most...so you'll be ok and make sure you brew a fresh p-t if your drain the last down low. On that note, remember Chevron expects our highly trained better than best folk to stand there for several minutes if brewing to make sure unit does not overflow
Are they returning in the San Ramon office?
Fatality rates are still trending down every week, so get enjoy your holiday and get the car out of mothballs for your commute!
There will be no RTW in Jan. 2022! Chevron wants to bring back people to office, but in the next 2 weeks sadly the cases will explode, and they will need to postpone it just as Apple, Facebook, Ford, and many other companies have already done.
MW is determined to bring workforce back to office and if cases continue to rise and hospitals start to fill up, no matter what he wants, most people would not show up! Who wants to get it or transmit it to their family because of unnecessary commute? We can do this remotely for another 1 or 2 years until things become more normal.
If you believe the media and Fauci, we’d never be RTW!
They should fire the comms person that wrote the subject line. Ultimate slap in the face before the holidays
It’s idiocy. But what else do you expect
Got my blue sticker. Ready to rumble. What a joke this whole thing is.
