Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Is there anyone who still loves their job here?

Sometimes it's really funny to me when I notice that even some managers here don’t like their job anymore. Then how can I love it or anyone else? I would like to hear from those who, despite everything, still love their job here, to hear how this is even possible. For me it used to be, but it was long time ago.

I’m on strike mentally!
I do the minimum and let Allstate look bad to customers. Hire more staff and give less work.
Until then, I will do the bare bones to squeak by snd not get fired. Let them see how they ruined the culture by gutting all the workers who cared/had experience. Every SME I have known has been canned.

It's easy to "love my job"...because I simply don't care about the customers, agents, my peers, management, home office, the "visions", the "culture", the job itself, the job expectations, job performance expectations....none of it. And that makes it so easy to just let everything run down my back and into the drain. I do what I want how I want and they keep paying me above average wages, give me flexibility, and pretty much leave me alone....mainly due to management and peers also feel the exact way I do. They don't care about any of the above either and just go through the motions like I do. I clock in 8 hours a day, do what I please, and get a pay check every 2 weeks of a solid amount along with gift cards and other perks. All for not caring and not giving a sh. How can one not "love" that? Now did I always feel this way? No, I actually cared and that brought on stress, anxiety, and worry. Once I saw what happened in 2020 with good hard working quality people being thrown out of a job during a global pandemic and seeing worthless, meaningless, incompetent scumbags like Glenn Shapiro, Tom Wilson, Julie Parsons, and Eric Brandt all remaining making tons more money than they are worth while providing zero worth and zero contribution to this company all fus were no longer given at that point. And I am much happier and actually healthier now. Do yourselves a favor. Quit caring, quit giving a sh**, do what you want, and turn it all off once you clock out for the day. They are not going to fire you for any of it as they are at the point of not being able to keep enough people retained voluntarily to run the business so they are now "stuck" with us. We are the captains now and the creatures in the ivory tower will swallow what we give them to swallow.

I love my job, but that's because I no longer base my identity and self worth in my career. I also know that to Corporate America I am just a # in a seat so I don't take business decisions personal. I also don't work in claims anymore. So that also has a lot to do with it.

I love working 14 hours a day.

I love being hopelessly behind and being told it's my fault because I can't work 15+ new losses a day while my phone rings 10 times an hour.

I love being underpaid and working for one of the only, if not the only, major insurance companies who don't give out yearly bonuses.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Anyone who says they love their job are lying or is Tom Wilson.

Long hours and phone calls from insanely mad customers has got me hating my job in claims ! I’ve been here 3 years and interviewing with a competitor next week .

I think there are very few people that love their job anywhere. If you can find a job that pays well that you love jump on it! To most people, we just work for money. As long as I don't hate my job I'm good
