Here at BTC we must time write and account for every hour against a Jade code monthly, these Jade codes are business unit specific so all of our hours must be “charged out”. Failure to charge out the hours results in supervisor and manager intervention.
My question is does this same time writing process happen in Houston or other locations or is this BTC specific?
The same applies to the MSPs however the process is slightly different and does not involve a Jade code.

I guess this one advantage of working at the plants. I’ve never had to do this.
I hate that, so annoying. UIS charges time at outlandish rates. Working directly on a major project or UOG there are no employee charge numbers, the beancounters take care of it internally.
yes we need to do time writing also update your TFS else be ready for public shaming on fire side chat..
Yes, this is how the companies goes business with itself between the business lines. Charge out higher than pay to person.
Yep - Very important in Upstream as a lot of those costs tie into production agreements.
Typo in the previous post: “funders” is the word.
Yes and it makes sense. It is important for every service organization to correctly allocate costs to its founders but hugely important for EMRE that is a 0 profit organization.
Yes. Have done it my entire 15 year career in US EMIT.
At EMHC in Upstream it depends. Very important in UIS. Not so much O&G
Yes in the US manufacturing plants, it’s to correctly allocate cost to the appropriate cost center/business team
