Hobby Lobby Pay Increase Sends Panic

Hobby Lobby raised starting pay to $18.50 per hour. In response, Marv and Little Joe ordered Cheap Snacks to be put in all Store BreakRooms. Which would you rather have, some crackers, or a Decent Hourly Pay Rate??? The walk-outs will continue!

Many burger joints and restaurants pay more than lowe’s

Now Darden restaurants said this, “ To the CEO’s point, the latest wage increase will raise Darden’s average pay to $20 per hour, including gratuities.

“In some major cities, you’re not hiring anybody for $12 an hour today,” Lee said during Darden’s Q2 earnings call. “Wage rates vary very, very, much depending on geography and overall demand. We have people in our environment that

Time to unionize. Only way to have fair dealings with this company. Just because you like working there today they can pull the carpet out from under you tomorrow by transferring you to another department you don't want to go to, expanding your job duties or giving you a horrible schedule. We are looking to get a union vote in spring when closing the store down would be very expensive for them. What do we have to lose? a paycheck that can be replaced by switching employers if they close the store down vs. them losing tens of millions by closing a store down(and that's one store). Remember no one running this place was involved in anyway with starting this business, truth is they could care less about the long term success of the company, they are in it for the short term and once they fell they have reached the max they can cash the stock out at they will leave and the store level employees and small stockholders will be the ones who get screwed. We have nothing left to lose.

For such a Christian guy, Marv sure is a real Jew when it comes to employee compensation.

There’s no incentive to stay at Lowe’s. Or to join the company. The yearly 40 cent pay raises are a joke.

Our store is now hiring from the special education school. They literally get dropped off by a special bus at the store. I guess whatever it takes for Marvelous to get paid 11 million bucks a year!
