ExxonMobil always keep dangling the Executive Compensation carrot in front of CL28/29 with recent communications that the number will be reduced significantly. Can any demystify the executive compensation - looking at say the CL30-34 range.

@ttb+1eircw97 36* - there are so many P-T 34s out there, multiples more than the actual number of exec spots in the corporation. A 34 potential will be booted in favor of a 36 for coveted jobs any day, so they will end up fighting for scraps like everyone else.
If you aren't a hipo with 34 potential then carrots are for donkeys. Better off CL 28/29 expat and make the real money.
No, you can make more in other industries (ie tech) at a much younger age then it will take you to get to those CL's. Additionally, the RSU's aren't that much and are not worthwhile or valuable as it is XOM stock after all.
