Taking the first steps to considering life beyond EM. I am looking at jobs on LinkedIn and all that but would love to work with a human on the job hunt. Does anyone have any recommendations for head hunters to reach out to our how to find one in the first place?

About 3 years in out of college, I started having headhunters call and message me on LinkedIn. It cooled down in 2020 but then once things picked back up again they started reaching out again. I would t say they’re all bad because they do connect you with another company that is looking for your skills, but you just need to have a clear picture of what you want.
TBH head hunters are overrated. Unless you’re exec level where companies don’t post openings and it’s all done behind closed doors, just talk to friends/family/ex classmates etc and apply places. If you are an exec at XOM, I promise I am working my a-s of plz give me a CL bump and OwD :) also if you’re an exec at any company, they find you you don’t find them.
A head hunter is a glorified googler and “apply here” button clicker
TBD Staffing will hook you up… heavy hitters in pharma and hedge fund gigs
If you have skills headhunters find you.
Polish your profile on LinkedIn and purchase the premium package (~$30/month) and change your job status to aggressive looking. And you will get a ton messages.
In the meantime get your resume ready and start mass apply. You're worth something outside Exxon. Just need to take the first step.
Google for recruiter in Spring, Dallas, wherever you want to live and work? They have them for each discipline. I’m in IT, so they often want to connect via LinkedIn. I’ve never had to find them, they find me.
Declare yourself a million dollars fugitive. Headhunters will rush in. LOL
I'm interested to know this, too! I'm sure it matters what field you're in.
