Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Anyone hear about new bonus targets?

So now basically if you do your job exactly like you’re supposed to, instead of getting 100% of your bonus target you get 80%.
In upstream you just know they don’t put you in exceeds let alone outstanding unless you’re buddies with the directors and SVP, so that means the company just took away your bonus. But surely the CLT and SVPs will pad their wallets with their outstanding performance this year.
I’m sure someone of that group will come on here and say “bonuses are discretionary” - so let me save you the trouble. Yes they’re discretionary but also, you’re padding your millions of dollars of net worth by robbing those who are working 12-15 hour days in fear of losing their jobs and don’t have homes half the size of your kitchens.

What do you do when cash flow has increased 700%? You ki-l motivation of any kind by lowering bonus targets and then deciding to slash normal bonus rankings by 20% is the way to thank staff! Sounds about right.

Don’t work a minute of overtime! AP has always hated how much staff make here. The high earning years are behind us, even at $100 oil. I want a package and out.
