Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

They can't fill the positions

People are leaving to such an extent that I would be very, very worried about making any decisions in this company, especially because there is obviously a problem to fill certain positions.
No one wants to work at Xerox except those who really have no other option, and there aren't many of those.
I think it can only get worse and that this company will have even harder time filling the positions as time goes on?

An entry level Best Buy job would be better then being employed by a sinking ship that's throwing smoke screens.

I started at Xerox last year- interesting role and decent salary- but I left in under two months. Xerox is trying to put on a show about becoming more dynamic and innovative, but managers have no intention of changing and upper management seems to be scared of them. It’s going to stifle the company and I didn’t intend to stick around to watch it.

It’s not Just xerox. Okay.
But xerox has done a wonderful job of digging their own grave. Love the people that come on here to tell us it’s not Xerox’s fault.
Newsflash….Yes it is. Absolutely.
But there we go again controlling the narrative. Lord forbid we have an opinion different from yours.
Linked in. Give me a break. Please.

Try networking contacts and people you know. Fastest way to get reemployed as long as you know what you say you do. It works well when a lot of jobs aren’t even posted. You have to find out through the grape vine.

True, labor shortage is everywhere. It's really hard to attract new people everywhere, there is a lot of competition. So Xerox should be trying to retain the people they have, but lack of salary increases, 401k match, and high healthcare premiums won't help with retention.

I know it's probably hard for the lowlifes on here to comprehend, but the labor shortage in general (low level or high tech) is a real thing. You probably wouldn't know since you don't get hit up on LinkedIn by job offers though. TONS of companies in general are desperate to hire people, so the m*ron posters who like to try to control the narrative and make it sound that it's just Xerox, look foolish as usual.

Oh yes, talent pool tripping all over themselves, fighting it out for a xerox interview! “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?”

@kxb+1ed6L5mb, So xerox is competitive versus other “Tech Powerhouse” companies at attracting talent? I’d like to see a business article based on that! Rum up that egg nog much?

Correct...over 11 Million open job postings in the US as of today. Xerox is just one of many companies that can't hire fast enough.

They can't fill positions because of the lack of available people wanting to work out there in general. It's STILL a problem across every industry. Every company is having challenges finding people. Read some business articles and stay educated.

The company is on the way out. Who would want to work here? No one.
Because even if you do get hired, you won’t be around long.
The company is incinerating itself, soon you will have nothing but ashes.

But I still bet Carl Icahn will still try to sell the ashes as fertilizer. Never let a good crisis go to waste.
