Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Sick Out

Since employees of other workplaces are doing sick outs to get a raise. Why can't we do the same at Lowes... We all have to do it. Lowe's can't fire everyone.. Because you can't have customer service without Csa's. This is a rallying of the troops.. We need to all get together on the date or dates.

I'm glad all you union id--ts will enjoy your 15 cent raises a year and don't forget that associates that are lazy but have been there longer have better opportunities then those who actually work hard but haven't been there that long. That's what a union does it helps the lazy tenierd people and cr-p on people who do their jobs

Lowes employees need to unionize and take back power from the corporate masters. If it wasn't for us employees, Marvin wouldn't have been able to get a 99% increase in his compensation package last year.

Let's take back our power and get better conditions, scheduling, and compensation. Let's show these rich elitist fu--s who they're messing with and unionize.

I saw sick outs on the news for N.C. bus drivers and non teacher positions. They got raises and bonuses

There is some talk of union activity in several stores in my market.

Where have these 'sick outs' been? What was the outcome? Please give dates and times.

True. People still have to work until they find something else. When you do take the better new job. Bye bye Lowe's

As bad as the job is, there are people that need this job to keep food on the table. They are not about to risk the job over a 'sick out'.
A large sick out will be deemed as insubordination and management will find the leaders. They will be gone in a heart beat. Sickouts like wildcat strikes require some union protection.
Assume every store has a snitch that will let management know about this long before it can gain any traction.
Better to try and unionize and then fight.
