Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Where is EM stock price headed?

I have 12,975 RSUs earned over four years that I can sell now. It is very stressful to know when to sell. I don’t want to sell now if the price is going up, but I don’t want to hold if it is going to fro. I have more and am getting more RSUs that I can’t sell yet so will have this problem again. Since I can’t trade EM options, I don’t know how to protect my investment. Anyone have any advice on how you handle your RSUs? I am not sleeping well having nightmares that XOM goes to $15 and eliminates the dividend and other nightmares that I sell at $60 and XOM goes to $165. Sometimes I wake up in a cold sweat. I face a large loss if I hold and it drops and a large loss if I sell and it goes up, looks like a high probability of high LOT either way.

Not true. If you were awarded this many RSU over last 4 years, then very few have vested. Only half of your 2018 award has vested, and since you were 4 years younger and probably a lower CL 4 years ago, the vested amounts are probably less than 1000 shares. You clearly are making this up and do not understand the system. My conclusion is you have nothing and are a troll because accumulating 12k RSU means you are an executive and all executives understand RSU vesting and math.

Wow, why all the haters? OP is just asking a simple question. I’m hearing that XOM will be $120 per share by 3Q22 because XOM is WINNING!

EM at $165/share is not a nightmare, just a pipe dream. One thing nobody has to worry about, even trolls.

Continue with your sleepless nights until you run out of them.

OP you are a messed up a$$backwards trolling mo--n. IF someone had over $700k in stock from being an upper level performing Exec in that narrow timeframe, you wouldn’t be putting garbage like this on a layoff board and you’d have a financial clue as to what you’re doing. If you’re NOT a troll, you’re a F ing total id--t, but perhaps both. Get some sleep.

This is a troll. That RSU number is ridiculously high for a normal person in the company over a 4 year period who would not know how to handle their shares

The stock has mostly just hovered around 1.5X book value since the GFC. Wouldn't be surprised if that trend continues

You gotta be a troll right?? Or just some manager here to flex?

Assuming you're actually serious, sell your high risk single stock position and buy some low cost index funds or real estate and sleep better. Better yet, hire a financial advisor rather than looking for financial advice on a layoff board - you can afford to do that.

@OP You have ~$700K asset in EM stock alone, and, you are loosing sleep over it? Do you know that many millions, including children, are going into sleep hungry? My advise - You deserve to rot in he-l.

OP you know have won award for most ludicrous post on this site ever … bar none. If you have averaged over 3000 shares RSUs during last 4 years that means you have to be exec level cl 30+ and at least upper quintile. And you are you asking for advice here. You won the global award for either World class f($&t&$d or world class axx$ol!
