Your reply is making no logic at all. We are saying that the chance of Belk closing all stores next year is “high” because of bad business strategy from Sycamore Partners and how they run Belk to the ground so far. The other option they can do is closing may be 100 or more bad negative cash flow Belk stores in 2022 and delay liquidation of all the remain Belk stores just like Sears/Kmart or Toy R Us! In the end you can not run a business without revenue or profit! Forget about labor laws and all other stupid things Sycamore Partners has done to Belk. Did they call you when Belk was abruptly and rushed to declare one day Chapter 11 bankcruptcy in Houston on February 2021 this year because of bad debts and negative cash flow situation? Wise up!

All the jibber jabber here of store closings. Given the closing preannouncenent labor laws, if stores were closing after the holidays announcements would have already occured!
Shilly does not like the idea because if the customer fails to provide the email it's the stores fault, not the associates fault. That want to blame associates and managers for everything when its their own fault.
Obviously it’s better than Hendricks and patel’s idea look how pi---d off the customers are, and the ones that don’t have emails are like 90 years old
if Emails are so important then why doesn’t belk have a computer or person at the front of the store just to collect email addresses. If the customer chooses to give their email they can walk up to this area, if not they can keep going. The same thing with app downloads just have a certain area where they can scan the app and download it. They hold managers and associates accountable for things that are out of their control.

Belk sells emails and phone numbers to numerous third parties, it’s big business for belk and other retailers. The Belk APP download scam is also a way for Belk to collect data from customers. Remember Belk is now primarily in the data collection business, clothing sales have taken what seems like a back seat.
