Heard a rumor last week that Houston campus may be closing a building down or even as much as a quadrant to save on costs?
Anyone hear of this?
I partially believe is since Hughes Landing is closing

The West Wing will be for Woods...
@dic+1eZjgLD7 Here. They took my recommendation to move Dallas to Houston.
Now we can see first hand how hard they work to earn over $20,000 per hour.
Campus is so large, they can earn $5000 just walking to a meeting in another building.
Looks like your comment didn't age well. It was announced today that the Irving campus is closing and they're being relocated to EMHC July 1, 2023
But what about Rex’s vision. Probably on the same waste pile as the oak tree.
There is no way the Dallas campus would move to the EMHC and slum with the rest of us.
Sorry but no headcount arrangements for EMHC in Harris County. Remember the lawsuit in 2019 where corp tried to claim some property tax reduction from hcad because EM claimed their assessment was too high? HCAD said show us the receipts for cost of campus to prove it. EM dropped their appeal the day they were due in court and paid the $43 M per year.
Never forget that headcount is essential for the millions in tax writeoffs from Tejas county arrangements. Hughes had that issue.
Headcount meaning bodycount.
So quick answer is No. Spring will not be reducing spacecount.
They could even start up a cemetary if necessary.
Just close the Dallas Campus and move those hard working people to Spring to set examples on how to work so hard.
I just assuming they work hard because they get paid so much.
KM was given over $13 Million in stock in her first 4 months at EM. Must have accomplished lifetimes worth of work in those 4 months.
Rumour I heard was that they were relocating site resources to the campus to capture the over capacity opportunity leverage.
Post Hughes Landing move there’s still plenty of space. There will be a restack, likely tied with CS&I announcements but even without them it’s still needed. They will shut down some buildings to save a little cost, but won’t be leasing them.
We will build a wall and make them pay for it.
I did hear the same thing. Gate B access, the Science Garage and the South Quad will be isolated, reconditioned and leased.
wouldn't surprise me, all in the name of "collaboration" aka consolidation of groups.
With Hughes Landing closed as of 12/31/2021 and moved to campus my guess is at this point all the space is used. Will get even more crowded if Annadale/Clinton in NJ gets closed and moved to EMHC.
