Thread regarding Nationwide (Insurance and Financial Services) layoffs

This is not new behavior

I used to work for Nationwide for 12 years. Left the company due to the fact they always said they want to prop more from within but they turned around and went outside the company. They became a very toxic company back in 2012 and it became very apparent before I left in 2014.

Thank you for saying this. I keep trying to explain to people that Nationwide has been a problematic company for nearly a decade, but I guess too many people like to go through life with rose-colored glasses. Apparently, everything was perfect until a few years ago. Are you kidding me?

I worked there for about a decade. It was a great place to work, culture, etc until about 2015. Once Harleysville was acquired and the impending doom that caused, it quickly went down hill. Happy to be gone. They don’t value their employees any longer.
