Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

West Texas APC

How many APC employees that moved to West Texas after the pay cuts actually received all of their wages back including their upkick that was part of your wages back from OPC?

They probably figure that they don’t need to pay 25% more for the same work that many, many others would gladly do for the same same salary and no 25% uptick. There needs to be extreme competition for people before they need to pay a premium.

Did you have to work from home or were you allowed to go out to the field? They probably figure that working outdoors is a benefit that doesn’t need additional compensation.

Nobody did. Got 29.9% taken when everyone else did. Got the 4.9% back I believe. But now most are getting a quarterly pay decrease after switching them from 14/14 to 7/7.
