Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Current situation

Are there any current employees that have not yet updated their resumes and are looking for a new job outside the org formerly known as a corporation formerly known as Xerox? If so, why??? Hanging on any longer for any reason has absolutely zero benefits at this point.

pension with Xerox and you're best off to stay until you are 55+ to max the payout

No. Get out and get your lump sum now! How can you be so lazy and d-mb?

Yes, there's the little tech man we dearly missed. Keep sniveling away. Haha. The fact that you...and the other wastes of space that come on this site to try to stir stuff up daily definitely keep me entertained.

Everybody's situation is different. If you are 50+, you likely still have a pension with Xerox and you're best off to stay until you are 55+ to max the payout. You also already have 5 or 6 weeks vacation which will be hard to match.

If you're younger, then it might make sense to jump ship at some point if you are unhappy with pay and benefits. Benefits are lousy these days, but pay can still be competitive depending on what your skills are. It is still a good job market, and you shouldn't rush and take the first thing unless you are unhappy.

Its good to know that there is real evil at xerox. Makes me know and Hundreds of others, that we all made the right decision to step out of the way of the oncoming train wreck.

You can sugar coat this all you want, but everyone here knows that you are a total sc-m bag. You can stick your xerox stock and use it for bird cage material for all i care. i seriously doubt you have anyone in your life that would call you "buddy" as well. Good to know that everyone who disagrees with you is an incompetent drama queen. That says a lot about you, without question. Arrogance gone wild.

I am sure we are overdue for a comment from the lord and master of the universe here, no doubt about that. Make sure you throw in another ....Awwwwww as well.. its what you do so well....kinda gives us that warm fuzzy feeling, ya know..

"sold your soul". Is it hard to get through life as an incompetent drama queen?

People staying now are the ones that sold their soul to xerox. Very well thought out. By the way, your new manager is Lu----r Burnenhell. Welcome to the Firm.

If you actually trust these demons, you deserve everything you get in the end.

Well played... you had Plenty of warnings.

Agree with the last poster. All depends on your position within the company and how much you earn, life/work balance, good managers, etc. Not everybody feels defeated here. Quite the opposite. Going to ride my own positive wave as long as the checks keep rolling in and I’m personally happy with my situation. If you don’t like your own situation, do something about it.

Everyone’s situation is different. XRX can still be an awesome place to work depending upon who you are. The whiners here have to remember there are people earning 10x to 100x what you are so one more year can be a material amount. Also if you are over 60, where are you going to go? People are leaving in droves, so this is not news and is posted ad nauseum.

I am happily in a new job with a company that seems to actually care about it's employees, something that is taking some getting used to after years of being treated horribly at Xerox. I was planning on staying another few years before retiring but couldn't take it anymore. Life is too short to spend it dealing with that nonsense!!
