It’s a family…yea….No its a culture….yea….Wrong again, its a job.

Some of you guys take things way too personal if you don’t get that raise or promotion.
I’ll say it again, you’re an asset, a commodity. Something to be used, traded or discarded at the will of the company. You rent yourself out to the company for skill and services for the hours you put in.

There will always be more and more piled on your plate if you never speak up or complain. If you complain too much about it then you get the “you’re not being part of the family” speech.

Bottom line, its a freaking job. A way to pay the bills. If you are being worked hard and are not being appreciated for it, then move to a different group OR move to another company. If you don’t like your environment then change your environment, simple as that. YOU are 100% in control, you can leave for another job any time you want just like you can be fired anytime THEY want.

Just a bunch of power hungry micro managers that can’t survive without ordering people around.

It’s not a job, its a sweat shop.

I’ve always been leery of any company cult like following koolaid drinkers.

Going back into the office, so that’s one less perk. Meh. Again folks its just a job in a sea of other jobs out there. Many of which allow remote work 100%. Dust off the resume, update it, hit the job boards. If you don’t like what’s going, its truly simple as that. Rinse, repeat until you find one you want which admittedly shouldn’t take long.

What’s sad to me is that Citi wants your job to BE your life. All with the insinuation that if its not, then be wary, you may be on “the list”.

Citi management worse nightmare…..free thinkers instead of koolaid drinkers.

I agree with that. Promises of rewards for a job well done, then nothing. When you can no longer ignore the differences between the reality and the promise, then its time to stop moaning and its time to leave.

My colleagues and I were discussing this very thing last week in zoom. It’s not a way of life, its not cult, its a JOB.
