If you think your job can't be offshored, think again! You are too expensive. Unless you're willing to work for pennies, they don't want you. It's as simple as that.

NetApp's cloud strategy? Which part - the one where they take a 30 year old product and pretend to be relevant in the cloud or the part where they buy cloud startups and hope not to ruin them?
It can't and it won't. I just keep learning the technologies that NetApp emphasizes in their cloud strategy. The more I know, the more they need me. Simple as that.
netapp offshoring is obviously well under way. check out this book from Chad fowler:
"My Job Went to India (nd all i got ws this lousy book)";
it talks bout his experience with the wonderful indian people (i'm american) while setting
up an office in india.
take away point from this book is "keep learning and keep doing"..
Offshore where ? India is just as expensive , more churn and attrition.
It's not that easy to completely shift to offshore model.
So either pack your bags or wait for them to pack them for you. It's your choice in the end.
