I prefer when work and deadlines are coming at me at a fast pace than when work is as slow as it is now. The pressure is off and that's fine, but I just feel bored now. I'm a little worried about what's going to happen next, because I haven't had less work to do in a long time. I guess this might be a red flag for layoff? I don't know. How busy are you?

As others have said the work will ebb and flow. I wouldn’t worry about it. If you really feel bored out of your mind maybe mention to your boss you are looking for more projects or any other places you can help. Most bosses will appreciate that.
