Thread regarding Synamedia layoffs

They've lost their direction

It is obvious that the company is trying to cut costs in every way What is not clear, however, is where this company is going. It seems to me more and more that the leadership has lost its direction and that they do not have a long term plan at all. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Impossible.

You can't lose something that you never had

The direction is to punt this hollow empty shell via IPO. Then the ELT will cash in their share as the company plummets out of whatever 2 bit index they manage to list it on. Let's face it, it's not going to be FTSE100 or NDQ100 material.

Was there ever a direction? And I'm not talking about the direction the finger of blame points.

SaaS will save the day. It’s all about SaaS. Products don’t matter as long as they’re SaaS. Like Synamedia’s Mensa candidate CIO has said - “it’s all about the cloud. You know…like Netflix used to rent dvds, now everything is in the cloud” (clearly repeating the example someone used to try to help him understand “the cloud”).
