Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Getting played!

So everyone in claims please understand you are totally getting played by State Farm which you are already aware. If you haven't noticed every 2-3 years we get into this same situation and each time our Executive office promises they have found "Jesus". Remember the terms we are going to "stabilize our claims workforce/operation". We are going to "develop" people and focus on the work environment. Blah Blah Blah. A lean organization's business model is to pressure test the operation every 3-4 years. Each time they make a new (horrible) normal and work everyone right up to the boiling point... then they notch back the heat just enough to keep it from boiling over. If it feels like it never gets better it's because it never does and never will! Just think about the abuse you have endured over the last 2-3 years and sh-thole environment we have now. Tipsy expects to grow this same amount this year and the following as he has stated. Let's just say you haven't seen anything yet! I'm getting my bonus/MIP and taking my talents somewhere else. I've had 3 jobs offers so far for the same money but no going to leave the bonus on the table! Leave now and tell everyone you know how awful SF is! Don't be too lazy to leave!

@bqvu That's exactly what they do. They get you tenure then find a chicken sh*t reason to get rid of you. Hopefully the new one's read through their lies and corruption.

I don’t understand how State Farm can use an employee to train new employees, tell them they have great customer service then turn around two months later and let them go because they don’t perform good enough! What it come down to is you don’t want to pay a bonus or pension. Not right these are peoples lives you are messing with!

'leveraging technology' just means a reduction of human employees in the workforce because the more automation equals less humans that are needed. That's what 'going lean' is all about. SF trying to find ways to pay less people to line more money into executive's pockets. Unfortunately, SF didn't plan very well and they are running off their employees faster than they can get the automation up and running.

“Leveraging technology” is just the execs saying “we’re not going to do sh-t to make things better”.

@1zzz. Exactly. Making everything a process in a service industry, what could go wrong?

and don't forget their famous phrase: "leveraging technology." They can all go suck a fat one. So glad I dipped out last year.

That's exactly what they want you to do. Abuse alcohol and dr-gs because when you are under the influence it is so much easier for them to force their KOOL AID down your throat. Remember the one's pointing the finger at you. They pick on you for what they do. They will NEVER be able to take your freewill nor support you in any decision you make. Always a loud mouth Monday morning quarterback. I wish you the best!

You are leaving for the same money you make here ? From what I’ve seen SF is paying on the low end of the market, plus many places are exempt with hours. Please tell me you at least got a raise to leave ? If not you sold yourself short . Good luck in your new role, many of us will be following you after the bonus .
