Thread regarding Pembina Pipeline Corp layoffs

Employee opinion is irrelevant

What's been happening to me lately.. I thought I had a good relationship with the manager and that he would take my complaint seriously because there are some things that simply don't work and that makes the job even harder. But no, instead I have since noticed a completely different attitude towards me and it is obvious to me now that it it would've been been to just ignore the problem. It seems that our opinions don't matter to anyone anymore?

I told my supervisor in a meeting that I was worried that my travel schedule was hurting my work life balance. I was rewarded with a heavier travel schedule and a comment on my review that I wasn't a good team player cause I didn't want to travel.

I concur, if your opinion or ethics differ from the sheep at Pembina you eventually find a kn--e in your back. Lots of talk, no substance.

With the exception of the two gents noted in TSU, who are very good, are there any top performers left in the company? In my experience, top performers speak out when things are not right, or need to be fixed. Alls that does is leave one with a giant bulls-eye painted on them. Found this out the hard way myself and made my exit a while ago. Others like me also left. They didn’t need to be poached. Their ethics were too important to them to keep supporting a mess like Pembina.

That is the Pembina way. In my experience anyway. Had a manager and senior manager in GBU that are exactly like that.
