Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Only people who have no other options will stay here

It looks to me that everyone who has another option is leaving. I have noticed that people are no longer so picky, their priority is simply to leave State Farm. It seems that only people who are not marketable at all and who have no other options will stay here? It will be interesting to look at this company from a distance in just a few years.

@ltj+1eMqz3GG- not in claims or underwriting? Wait until consultants deem your job expendable and let everyone know if you still are in love.

I think they would keep the senior leadership and fire the rest.

If we could initiate a vote of no confidence of ET senior leadership what do you think would happen?

Getting the full 35 years toward the pension is a big reason to stay. Another reason is making it to 55 for retirement. Where State Farm will struggle is with talented younger employees. If hired post-pension they will have even less reason to hang on. With remote work they are no longer bound by geography, which is especially important if you live near Bloomington. No longer can State Farm take for granted they are the best game in town.

The pension is why people stay. Other companies dont offer it anymore. The pay at SF is just average, everyone I have talked to that has left, has gotten nice raises. Posts like this are so simplistic.

The people that write these types of posts are the lazy bi----s that want to fu-k in the stairwells and play on their phones all day. Go ahead and leave, nobody will miss you. Good luck at the next company who will actually pay attention to your sh---y claim handling and fire your re--rded a-s.

State Farm is no longer a career choice. They are playing the cards to show that. They grab their money out of you and force you out. If you're new, listen to those who have over 25 years with the company. They will love you to death while you are within their pay range. Once you get past that and you don't "fit in" to their gang, they make your life a miserable h e l l.

They keep forcing a square peg into a round ho-e. When they inevitably fail, they blame you. Union now!
