I never heard more people talking around the office that they are actively looking for other jobs and that they plan to leave as soon as the opportunity arises. I know that it’s common that a few people here and there talk about leaving around the water cooler, but this is definitely on a larger scale.
I know that times are tough, and that working here is not what it used to be, but if most of the people that told me they are hitting the job market leave in a short period of time, I don't see how work will get done at our group. Are we really talking about a mass exodus, or is this just empty talk by people that are frustrated about the work conditions right now?

My team shrank by 50%.
Lots of talk, no action.
