When I see all these complaints about Xerox, only one thing is not clear to me. How can people not see that they are actually managing the decline, that nothing better can be expected, and that the only question is how much is left until we finally hit the rock bottom? There can be no big plans for the future here other than plans to slow the decline.

It is no news that Xerox is in a decline! In fact it has been in a decline for years!
Xerox had the opportunity to join forces with Fuji. Fuji has a product portfolio that is better diversified than Xerox. If Xerox had stuck to that offer it would have been a different story today. As the old saying goes, “Play Stupid Games Win Stupid Prizes!”
Icahn's minions are just trying to keep the lights on long enough for someone to come along and make an offer on the pile of junk.
