Hearing rumors of a shake up or as it was quoted a " Re-organization" In the Law department?

There have been so many lawyers leave so many staff counsel offices that apparently Allstate doesn’t even bother to update the office websites.
No need for layoffs in Houston SCO. 16 lawyers quit on their own accord in 2021.
George came from Staff Counsel and went to bat for Staff Counsel. Was he perfect? No, course not. Have things gone downhill since he left? I'd certainly say so.
Don't get too sentimental about George. He put in place both directors and most of the SMCs who are responsible for the revolving doors on staff counsel offices. Lots of technology and process but little about the practice of law or the best interest of the insureds.
Rhonda is terrible, if she does have a personality, she's kept it well hidden. So far Ricky's main contribution has been sharing trial results and pictures of magazine articles (I kid you not, pop-pop emailed us pictures of a magazine article....really proving that Allstate leaders are on the cutting edge of technology). Bruce is gone too and we haven't missed a beat without him, so that shows how impactful he was. April wants us to be a cool data company like Google....I don't even know what to say about that.
Basically it's been downhill since Susie and George left and the future ain't looking bright.
I think it is fair to say no law® employees are actually impressed with the EVP. So the prior post’s observation is correct - she is not impressive or inspiring.
Quite a combo when the EVP of Legal is also the interim chief HR officer. Not very impressed today as she spoke at leadership conference. Very scripted speech and not very inspiring. Good luck.
I did hear a possible vrp for Law … i guess we will see
Heard the same re: law & Reg reorg. Don’t know if more RIFs come with the reorg or not.
Shake ups will be happening in a lot of areas in 2022. Lots of huddles and department comms pointing to this.
