I’ve been with this company for 5 years now in customer delivery, and I just found out my benefits totally changed without any prior notice. I filled out the virtual paperwork declaring myself as a never-smoker (which is honest) and a lower 401(k) contribution…. And I am getting the smoker penalty and a higher 401(k) contribution. What the he-l??? This isn’t even the first or second time my benefits have been different from my declarations.
Its always taken hours to get ahold of someone to make the fixes, and the fixes don’t always happen the first time I call.
I worked for a handful of companies in my 20’s and a couple of them were Allstate competitors, and NO COMPANY I’ve ever worked for has had this contentious of a relationship with its own employees. Allstate seems to do everything it can legally get away with to sc--w me, and probably other employees over.
Allstate is a buffoonish cartoon villain of a fortune 100 company and I’m so sick of it. No clue why I’ve stayed this long.
