Is it closing? There is an advertisement for fixture removal and temporary cashier on the job listings site.

Actully, they ARE going thrugh liquidation and the store closes March 13. Paywalled, but you can quickly see that: https://flipboard.com/article/key-west-kmart-to-close-in-march/f-dcb41d72bf%2Fkeysnews.com
Store begins going out of business sale on thursday, last day open to customers is March 6th.
I thought the Miami store would close next since there is a Target and Walmart down the street from it but I guess not! I can't believe we're finally getting to the end now. Hopefully the closure of the remaining stores will be quick.
OK, I called 4 Times, it kept ringing and ringing, but finally someone answered. The lady Said they are closing NEXT WEEK, so this would probably imply no liquidation. The poster below was correct. Jack man, do your thing.....
Sears in Willow Grove, PA has similar postings as well.
Transfer what is left to a dumpster and move on.
@puq+1eJ5EpFM Normally, that would make perfect sense, but that usually only works if there is a store nearby to transfer sh!t too (as were the case in those NY closings). Key West is 165 miles to the nearest other store (Miami), so that really is not feasible, one would think.
But I will call the store and try to find out what's up.
A "fixture removal" job suggests that a non-liquidation closing might happen soon. This happened with one of the Bronx Kmarts.
This is the job OP referred to:

Thank you for that. If it shows fixture removal, it would appear that is probably is closing. Let me call them and see what I can find. I saw the job you are referring to on the Sears jobs website.
