I am negotiating an offer. Wondering what would be the best salary that a Senior Engineer, advanced degree with 6-8 years of experience, can get at Raytheon Co.? what is the range? and what is considered close to the top of the spectrum?

I don't think the senior range max is that high. Also remember there are folks who have been at the same level for 20+ years at the top of that pay range.
Negotiating officer? Is that a re-name for a contracts person because everyone has caught on that contracts people are Lawyer scumbags?
Another example is Human Resources is the new "Talent Acquisitions". I heard they changed their name again.

For the 100 to 175k range, I am assuming it refers to level P3 (a.k.a. E3/E4) (a.k.a G09). And if so, then that's a better range than P4 and P5. Or...maybe I should take these posts with a "grain of sh-t". LOL 😁
Wow! That is a nice range for a senior engineer position in TX since there is no state income tax in that state.

Attrition is massive. UTC Raytheon will be ti-s up or sliced and diced at some point...
Depends on location and your background. They will try to undercut you by at least $30k. They like to lowball on the salary and grade-level, and you’ll be stuck with cr---y raises at the same level for years. See what Glassdoor recommends and add at least $25-35k more at minimum. They really don’t pay well. If you take the job, keep your resume updated. They are losing folks before they even start working to better offers.
