Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Who mentioned layoffs?

I don't think there will be any layoffs for a long time. Of course, one should never completely relax, but my personal opinion is that there will be no cuts for now.
Moreover, we are understaffed to such an extent that everyone does a double or triple workload. I may be too optimistic, but I don't think there will be any cause for concern for a while.

Usually layoffs happen when the company is bloated and times are tough.

In 2019 they had record profits, but laid off 20% of the company anyway.

“Layoffs slated for 2028” 😂 Try again. Layoffs coming by March 2022?

Just wait until interest rates rise again and people can’t afford those luxurious EVs.

Don’t see the happening in the near term either. Staffing is already tight plus sales are projected to increase for CY22 compared to CY21. Usually layoffs happen when the company is bloated and times are tough. Don’t see either condition on the horizon yet.
