I've been aiming for early retirement for the last five years, but the closer I get to it the more worried I am. It seems that TIAA is on a warpath when it comes to older employees and staying here for another two years is anything but guaranteed. My age is also an issue when it comes to finding a new job, which is another source of worry for me. The next few years will be pure torture.

I'm confused. You have been thinking about early retirement for a few years now but is afraid to move forward with it. You also stated your age may play a factor as well. Are you near retirement age or not. What warpath is the company on? I haven't heard anything especially with those who want to retire. It's your business if you feel it's time to move on.
