Nepotism and cronyism are rampant throughout the company, from the lowest to the highest level. This means there is no chance of any upward mobility unless you know the right people. Don't even get me started on pay disparity. I've been here for four years and that's four years too long.

As far as a place to walk into, sit down and work, it's pretty nice. Work hard, take the money and leave when something better comes along. But it's not all that bad for that purpose.
It’s only like that in Texas and Boise.

I have been at HP for 6 years and love it. All the people that I have come in contact with are helpful and caring. Not sure where the OP is working but it sure ain't the same place I am working at.
I don't think you're using the word "nepotism" correctly.
The fact that you're not entirely specific about what org you belong to, leads me to believe that you are some random troll, likely from Dell or another competitor.
If you aren't moving up the corporate ladder, that probably means you are doing the bare minimum at work and ungrateful for your very large bonus and sizeable raise that we all got in December.
I've worked for Dell and HP and I can tell that HP is far more relaxed than Dell.
